Welcome Nu Gamma Lambda Sorority (ΝΓΛ), where women come together to empower, unite, and inspire. Founded in the states of California, Delaware, Florida, and Louisiana in 2025. Nu Gamma Lambda Sorority (ΝΓΛ) was founded by Shy’Nika Dabney,
Donquayvia McBride-Daniel, Jaynä Williams-Nguyễn, and
Latesha Reynaga, on March 20, 2025, shared the same vision of having a forever sisterhood amongst women of color and unity.
• Our Colors:
Purple, Kelly Green, Yellow, White, and Black. Purple represents royalty, luxury, power, ambition, creativity, and wisdom.
Green represents growth, freshness, renewal, and life, often symbolizing balance, harmony, and hope.
Yellow represents happiness and joy.
White represents purity, innocence, cleanliness, and a fresh star.
Black represents power and elegance.
• Our Flowers:
The Blossom and Lotus Flowers. The Blossom represents new beginnings, renewal, and the fleeting nature of beauty and life. The Lotus represents purity, enlightenment, rebirth, and spiritual awakening.
• Our Mission:
To create a forever sisterhood amongst women of color so that we can come together and unify, uplift, empower, motivate, be that shoulder to lean on, encourage, and value being our sister’s keeper. We fellowship, travel, and have a bonding retreat.
Nu Gamma Lambda is open to women aged 21 and older, welcoming all backgrounds; no college degree required. Together, we are building a supportive community where women thrive.

Black Lion. The lion represents majesty, courage, strength and protection.

Join Our Sisterhood
Nu Gamma Lambda Sorority
To join Nu Gamma Sorority (ΝΓΛ) applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
2. Application Submission: Complete the official membership application form.
3. Commitment: Be willing to actively participate in sorority events, meetings, and initiatives.
4. Values Alignment: Embrace and uphold the sorority’s mission of empowerment, unity, and harmony.
5. Membership Dues: Submit required membership fees as outlined during the application process. non-refundable
6. Time Dedication:
• Chapter Leader Sisters: Dedicate at least 15 hours per week to leadership responsibilities.
• Sorority Members: Engage actively in scheduled activities and events.
7. Communication: Maintain regular contact through designated communication platforms.
8. Inclusivity: Be respectful and supportive of all members, fostering a positive and welcoming environment.
9. Hazing Policy: Agree to adhere to the no-tolerance policy for hazing and promote a safe, respectful sisterhood.
